Spring Break, Part Deux

Today I baked and frosted a bunch (about 5 dozen) spring sugar cookies. Most of them are to give away, but many are for eating! I think they're super cute:

Pink tulips, yellow chicks, and blue bunnies

Cute cookies. I haven't been able to find a good sugar cookie recipe. Where did you find your recipe?

I use my mom's recipe, which I love.
Cream together:
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
Beat in:
2 eggs
1/2 cup cream
1 tsp vanilla
Add:
3 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Bake @ 375 for just 5-10 minutes -- do not overbake.

Loved hearing about your Seattle trip, your hike in the park & baking! You do very fun, interesting things.

You guys look like you are having too much fun. Also evergreen trees are always green so that is not necessarily a sign of spring.
Sarah and I would not mind if you mailed us some cookies.
Love ya sis
